What are the tax rates?

Sales: General 5%, Automotive ½ %
Use: General 4%, Automotive ½ %
Rental: General 4%, Automotive 2 %
Lodging: 8%
Liquor: 7% of purchase price
Gasoline: 0.01 per gallon

Q: When are taxes due?

​​​​​Taxes are due by the 20th day of each month following the reporting period in which the tax is collected or accrued by the State of Alabama.
