Zoning Notice 2 - 1950 Peaceful Valley Road - Cale and Breanna Smith




NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 11th day of April 2024, the undersigned caused notice to be posted in four places of a proposed Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Oxford, Alabama.  Said Ordinance was posted in full.  The effect of said Ordinance will be to zone Agricultural District (AG) the following described real estate being in the City of Oxford:

A certain parcel of land lying in Sections 33 and 34, Township 16 South, Range 6 East; said parcel being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the described Southwest corner of the SE ¼ of the Se ¼ of Section 33; thence north 43 degrees 57 minutes east 791.84 feet to a 3/8 inch rebar on the observed north right of way of Peaceful Valley Road and the true point of beginning of the hereafter described Tract A; thence North 62 degrees 56 minutes 21 seconds east along said ROW line 4487.16 feet to a capped rebar; thence north 00 degrees 57 minutes 00 seconds west and leaving said ROW line 685.67 feet to a capped rebar; thence due west 437.50 feet to a ½ inch pipe; thence south 00 degrees 57 minutes 00 seconds east 907.32 feet to the true point of beginning. Containing 8.00 acres, more or less; subject to any easement assigned to the utility crossings of said parcel. Situated, lying and being in Talladega County, Alabama.

Said Proposed Ordinance is to be considered by the City Council of the City of Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on May 14th, 2024, in the Council Chambers of the City of Oxford, 145 Hamric Drive East, and at such time and place all persons who desire will have the opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of said Ordinance.  Disabled person(s) needing special accommodation(s) to participate in this hearing should contact the Oxford City Clerk at (256) 832-1562 at least 72 hours prior to the hearing.
