Zoning Notice 2 - 1870 Bynum Boulevard - The RTR Living Trust - Garey Morrison


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 18th day of March 2024, the undersigned caused notice to be posted in four places of a proposed Ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Oxford, Alabama.  Said Ordinance was posted in full.  The effect of said Ordinance will be to rezone from General Business District (GB) to Light Manufacturing District (M-1) the following described real estate being in the City of Oxford:

Beginning at a point on the south line of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 16, Range 6, Calhoun County, Alabama, which beginning point is 825 feet west of the Southeast corner of said forty acre tract: Thence from said starting point southwest 45 feet; thence north 282 feet, more or less, to the south line of Bankhead Highway (no Bynum Boulevard); thence in an easterly direction along said line 265 feet to a drainage ditch; thence in a southwesterly direction along said ditch to the point of beginning. Being and situated in the northeast quarter of northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 16, Range 6, Calhoun County, Alabama.

Said Proposed Ordinance is to be considered by the City Council of the City of Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on April 9, 2024, in the Council Chambers of the City of Oxford, 145 Hamric Drive East, and at such time and place all persons who desire will have the opportunity of being heard in opposition to or in favor of said Ordinance.  Disabled person(s) needing special accommodation(s) to participate in this hearing should contact the Oxford City Clerk at (256) 832-1562 at least 72 hours prior to the hearing.
