In 2020, the Main Street Board and Promotion Committee rebranded the former Downtown after Sundown" and "Main Street Market" events to “Market on Main,” which is held monthly at Simmons Park on Saturday mornings throughout the Spring and Summer Seasons. It was only fitting that the event is held at Simmons Park since the space was used as a trading post for over 100+ years. Market on Main is a seasonal artisan and craft vendor market held at Simmons Park in Historic Downtown Oxford.
Second Friday on Main

Second Friday is held annually on the second Friday of each month from April until September. The event includes a variety of mobile food vendors, live entertainment, lawn games, bounce houses, art vendors, the Choccolocco Cruise-In, and a movie!
Main Street Rivalry 5K

Main Street Rivalry 5K is a co-hosted event with Main Street Oxford and Main Street Anniston. The event plays off of the decades-old rivalry between the two sister cities. Each city competes for the winning title of most sign-ups for their respective city and winners in each category division.
Witches Ride & Walk on Main

Witches Ride & Walk is a spirited stroll through historic downtown Oxford along Main Street, Snow Street, Choccolocco Street, and Oak Street. Participants must dress in their favorite “witch,” “warlock,” or "goblin" attire and are asked to bring candy to pass out to spectators. Men and children are encouraged to join in the fun!
Trick-or-Treat on Main

Trick or Treat on Main is our annual Halloween event for families to enjoy, sponsored by Historic Main Street Oxford, the City of Oxford, and downtown merchants. The event includes bounce houses, slides, carnival games, food trucks, live entertainment, costume contests, and FREE candy! In years past, attendance has been recorded as between 20,000 - 25,000 attendees.
Christmas on Main

Christmas on Main is our annual downtown holiday open house. Festivities for the day include sales, promotions, horse and carriage strolls, live entertainment, movies at Simmons Park, and a Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.
