OXFORD PRIMARY CARE & WEIGHT LOSS CENTER OPENS NEW OXFORD LOCATION

The Oxford Primary Care & Weight Loss Center opened its new Oxford location on Friday, May 10.

In a ribbon-cutting ceremony provided by the city of Oxford, the new and improved location at 96 Ali Way was deemed open for business.

Ladonna Cobb, who serves as the center’s director, said the center originally opened in 2012 with one employee is a small building on Snow Street.

“We now have 18 employees and this big, new huge facility,” Cobb said.

She said the center is constructing a new laboratory section where most of patients’ lab work can be done in-house.

Mayor Alton Craft thanked the center for its investment in Oxford.

“I’m always thankful when we have a new business, but when we have one that expands, it’s even better,” Craft said. “It shows how successful you are here in our city. We appreciate your investment, and we appreciate your time. We wish you all the best.”

The center is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.; Wednesdays from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.; and Fridays from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
