Pass It On Sports opened its new Oxford location Friday, August 9, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 655 Snow Street.
The local and veteran owned small business holds to a mission of ensuring everyone can afford to play the sports they love by offering Oxford’s largest used sporting goods selection.
Pass It On Sports takes lightly used equipment, runs it through a thorough inspection process, then offers a fair market cash offer. The options to accept store credit or a consignment opportunity are also available.
“Growing up in Oxford and going through multiple sports with our children, we found ourselves having to fork out a lot of money,” said owner Trevor Knight. “Instead of having to drive long distances for used gear, we decided we needed a one-stop shop for something like this. We are going to provide used and new quality sporting goods at a really good affordable price.”
Mayor Alton Craft welcomed the new business to Oxford and praised the originality of the store’s concept.
“I had really never thought about this concept,” Craft said. “I wish you had done this when my kids where little. We love your concept and if there is anything the city can do to help you, we want to.
