Arrow Disposal Service Inc. (ADSI), the garbage service provider of the city of Oxford, has been acquired by Meridian Waste Acquisitions, LLC. The transition was made official on Sept. 1.

Meridian Waste is headquartered in Charlotte. N.C., and currently services more than 524,000 residential, commercial, industrial, and government customers in Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Mississippi, Missouri, and Virginia.

The transition to the new company is not expected to change the current services provided to the citizens of Oxford.

“We welcome Meridian Waste to the city of Oxford and fully expect they will maintain the services to our citizens as agreed to and provided by ADSI,” said Mayor Alton Craft.
