Learn moreNavratri, a nine-day annual celebration of spiritual cleansing and religious reflection, was recently held at the Oxford Civic Center by many of the area residents who observe the traditions and culture of India.
During the celebration, festive clothing is worn during a dance which forms into a large circle with smiles and clapping hands all in rhythm to the music.
Participants also enjoyed a meal of customary dishes for the occasion.
