Studio 31 wants to keep Oxford moving in a healthy way

Studio 31 – a pilates studio, opened its doors on Friday, October 10, 2025, with a ribbon-cutting at its new location at 832 Snow Street, Suite D.

Owner/instructor Sylina Drummonds said fitness and health have played a central role in her life for more than a decade, and she has found Pilates to be the practice she has found the most transformative.

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening and improving flexibility in the core, posture, and overall body, and involves controlled movements that engage multiple muscle groups.

“I want to offer something that is a little more than a gym – something more personable where I can have some one-on-one time with everybody,” Drummonds said. “Pilates is for the whole community. I think it is so important to keep your body moving. This is really my passion. It’s not about looks, it’s about health.”

Studio 31 provides different class options with lots of flexibility and levels of focus.

“I want my clients to discover that building strength, improving posture, and protecting their health can become second nature,” Drummonds said.

Those interested in the healthy opportunities offered by Studio 31 can email: studio31pilates@gmail.com; visit the website at studio31pilates.com; or visit in person.

The city of Oxford is pleased to welcome this new business and offers its support as it continues to grow and prosper.
