The Treehouse Indoor Playroom opened its doors at 100 Ali Way with a ribbon-cutting on Friday, November 14, 2025.
Owners/operators Sheena McKibben and Alisha Carothers are two friends with children who saw the need for families to have a safe place for their children to have some fun, education, and special events.
“Our children have birthdays close to each other in January, and we were looking for a place to have a birthday party, as you really can’t go to a park in January,” McKibben said. “We ended up having go to Gadsden, which was nice, but we wanted to have something closer to Oxford. We began hearing from a lot of parents who were looking for the same thing – a safe, clean place where they could come and spend time together with their children.”
The Treehouse is separated into age-appropriate areas, including a teenage room with an air hockey game. There is also a large party room where all the necessary items – such as ice, tablecloths, plates, silverware, and cups – are available. The areas are also ideal for homeschool and seasonal events.
“We want this to be a safe place for moms to let their kids run and play while they sit back and leave the cleaning to us when the kids are all done letting their little minds grow and make new friends,” Carothers said.
