Music City Bagels leads Oxford salute to National Bagel Day

Music City Bagels leads Oxford salute to National Bagel Day

The city of Oxford visited one of its most popular eateries to celebrate National Bagel Day on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Historic Main Street Oxford director Hunter Gentry presented a proclamation on behalf of Mayor Alton Craft to Music City Bagels owner Aldo Stassi, honoring the day and the “beloved food enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.”

“Music City Bagels has become a valued gathering place for residents and visitors alike, providing quality food, friendly service, and supporting the spirit of entrepreneurship and small business in our community,” the proclamation states.

“We’re excited,” Stassi said. “2026 is going to be a great year. We enjoy what we do. We’ve seen a lot of new faces along with our regulars. This is going to be our year. We’re going to continue doing what we do with no substitutions or shortcuts – just like we’ve always done. We’re proud to be in Oxford. This is a great, great city.”

Music City Bagels is located at 101 Hamric Drive East and is open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sundays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Orders are also accepted online at musiccitybagels.com and by phone at 256-403-1487.

Music City Bagels will be hosting “Coffee With A Cop” on Friday, January 15, 2026, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. The event is hosted by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce and will allow residents to share ideas and have conversations with members of the Oxford Police Department and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office in a relaxed and informal setting.
