A group of volunteers gathered on Saturday, March 14, 2026, to demonstrate their love and support for downtown Oxford as Historic Main Street Oxford kicked off its annual litter cleanup days.

This was the first of six scheduled dates when volunteers are provided all the necessary supplies - including gloves, garbage bags, litter grabbers, and buckets – to help keep downtown clean.

The 2026 clean-up days are scheduled for April 11, May 9, June 13, August 8, and September 12. All events start at Simmons Park and run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Registration is available through a link on the HMSO social pages, but not necessary for participation.

Everyone is invited to take advantage of these opportunities to spend time with your neighbors, make new friends, have some fun, and help Oxford to remain Alabama at its best!
