The Oxford Senior Center sponsored a road trip and a grilled hot dog buffet as part of its annual cookout at Oxford Lake on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Seniors and guests filled the lakeside pavilion before lining up for grilled hot dogs with all the fixings, side snacks, and drinks.

Several members of city departments, vendors, and agencies who aid the center in many different ways throughout the year were treated as special guests.

“This is a time for us to fellowship with each other,” said OSC director Hal West. “This also gives a chance to personally thank all those city departments and vendors who help with all our programs throughout the year.”

The Oxford Senior Center is located at 424 Main Street and can be contacted at 256-831-5900 and is open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays.
