Family Savings Credit Union unveils remodeled Oxford location

Family Savings Credit Union unveils remodeled Oxford location

Family Savings Credit Union cut the ribbon on its newly remodeled Oxford branch on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in a ceremony hosted by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce.

“This is an amazing crowd, and we really are excited to show off our newly remodeled location,” said FSCU marketing director Leslie Bishop.

Frankie Letson, FSCU executive vice president, said having a location of this quality in Oxford was a long time in the making.

“We are excited about being here in Oxford,” Letson said. “Six years ago, we came and merged in with another credit union and quickly outgrew that location. This was a large building, and we had the vision of what it has become today. I think it turned out very well. We are looking for great things here in the community and are proud to be a part of it.”

“We appreciate the investment in our community,” said Calhoun County Commissioner Danny Shears. “I can see this organization and this facility helping out folks for many years to come with their financial needs.”

Hunter Gentry, director of Oxford economic development and Main Street, spoke on behalf of Mayor Alton Craft.

“We are grateful for you choosing Oxford for your next venture here and if there is anything the city can ever do for you, just let us know,” Gentry said.

FSCU branch manager Tom Frey, who is an Oxford native, said there was excitement about being in the renovated building.

“This has turned out really great and is the result of a lot of hard work,” Frey said. “We are going to take care of it and grow it up.”

Guests were treated with a barbecue sack lunch and gift bags with a piggy bank stuffed with cash surprises.

Family Savings Credit Union is located at 162 Industrial Dr Ext. and can be reached by phone at 256-831-7180.
