Boot Barn formally opened its location at 900 Oxford Exchange Boulevard on Friday, October 9, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce.
Boot Barn has become the largest western and workwear retailer in the nation since opening its first store in 1978, having since expanded its brands to serve all its customers and various lifestyles – from cowboys to fashion enthusiasts - with an uncompromising desire to support the local communities they serve. Boot Barn also partners with local nonprofits including veteran outreach programs and organizations that support United States Military Veterans and the families of fallen heroes.
“We couldn’t wait to get this store open,” said store manager Derrick Veal. “It’s great to be here and be part of this community.”
“When you walk in here, the first thing you want to do is stand here and smell the leather,” said Mayor Alton Craft, referring to the leather goods and wearables available in the store. “We are very glad you chose to be here and welcome you to Oxford.”
