ALABAMA LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION FOUNDATION RECOGNIZES CITY OF OXFORD

The Alabama Law Enforcement Appreciation Foundation took time out of its busy week to honor the area’s law enforcement officers and recognize the city of Oxford for contributing to its mission.

During one of the week’s daily luncheons for officers at the Oxford Civic Center on Thursday, May 16, ALEAF presented the city with its Sam Mousa Award, honoring its “outstanding service and dedication” to the foundation.

“Not only have they been a sponsor from the very beginning, but they also actually budgeted the check and said we don’t have to ask every single year,” said ALEAF treasurer Michael Webb. “They send it automatically and provide this great facility every other year.”

City Council member and president pro-tempore Steven Waits accepted the award on behalf of the city from Webb and ALEAF president Tobi Burt.
