OXFORD SALUTES TRUTH RADIO’S 30TH ANNIVERSARY

The city of Oxford honored the 30th anniversary of Truth Radio, a broadcast ministry of Trinity Baptist Church. The station began operations on May 29, 1994

The formal resolution, signed by Mayor Alton Craft, was read at the June 11 meeting of the City Council and presented to Trinity Baptist pastor Dr. C.O. Grinstead. The resolution officially designated Sunday, May 26, 2024 as “Truth Radio Day” in the city of Oxford.

Truth Radio is now on two stations, WTBJ 91.3 and WTBB 89.9, and reaches into parts of 24 counties. Trinity Baptist also operates the Trinity Christian Academy for grades pre-kindergarten through 12.

“I thank the city for what they have done through all of this,” Grinstead said. “I am so thankful this reaches into so many homes and tries to help so many families.”

The council also voted to hold its next meeting on June 25th beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Bynum Community Center.

A public hearing will be held prior to the meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. where citizens will have the chance to hear from engineers and see maps concerning potential infrastructure improvement projects planned for the Bynum community.
