OPAC gets Chamber honor at annual meeting

The Oxford Performing Arts Center was awarded the 2025 Tourism Champion Award by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce during its 47th annual meeting held at the Oxford Civic Center on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The award goes to persons and venues for their “outstanding promotion and collaboration to increase the tourism experience throughout the Calhoun County area.”

OPAC was noted for its regional and international outreach, as it continues to be the “busiest stage in Alabama,” hosting major artists and shows from across the country and around the globe, as well as showcasing new and local talent.

The award was accepted on behalf of the venue by OPAC director of development Crystal Hancock.
