Associated MetalCast announces $6.24 million Oxford expansion plans

Associated MetalCast, a manufacturer of precision-machined, complex metal components, is expanding its Alabama operations through a $6.24 million investment that will create 50 jobs and introduce new equipment and advanced technology across Calhoun and Talladega counties.

Associated MetalCast plans to upgrade two facilities in Oxford, with the addition of skilled manufacturing positions expected to be phased in over the next six years.

“This expansion strengthens our ability to deliver greater value to our customers through increased capacity, improved efficiency, and enhanced capabilities—positioning Associated MetalCast for long-term success and competitiveness,” said President and CEO Devon Bell. “We sincerely appreciate the long-term partnership and support of the City of Oxford, the Calhoun County EDC, and the State of Alabama.”

Founded in 1998, Associated MetalCast supplies OEM customers across a range of industries, including water infrastructure, vertical transportation, automotive service components, heavy truck, and industrial equipment.  The company specializes in high-tolerance, mission-critical precision-machined components, while also offering value-added services such as assembly, kitting, and inventory management.

Alabama Department of Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair said the expansion reflects the state’s world-class manufacturing workforce and its competitive business climate.

“Associated MetalCast is exactly the kind of company Alabama wants to grow — innovative, technically advanced and deeply committed to quality,” McNair said. “This expansion is a testament to the strength of our manufacturing workforce and the competitive business environment we’ve built in this state. We’re proud to support the growth of a company that has earned its reputation through precision, performance and results.”

The project has drawn widespread local support, including the city of Oxford and the Calhoun County Economic Development Council. In addition, AIDT will provide its worker training services, a key benefit as the company scales its capacity to meet growing customer demand.

“We have always had a strong partnership with Associated MetalCast, and it is exciting to see that relationship continue to grow alongside the company’s investment,” said Larry Deason, Chairman, Calhoun County Economic Development Council, “Their operations are a true representation of advanced manufacturing through a combination of precision machining and cutting-edge technology with a highly skilled workforce. We are proud to support their continued success.”

Associated MetalCast’s business model centers on innovation and value-added service, offering customers not only precision-manufactured components but also integrated supply-chain support, inventory management, and assembly services that help streamline production and control costs. The company operates from a modern manufacturing and warehouse facility with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and tight tolerances.

“This investment speaks volumes to the strength of our community and the people who live and work here,” said Alton Craft, Mayor of Oxford. “We are proud to see the continued investment and new job opportunities.”

McNair said the investment by Associated MetalCast signals strong confidence in Alabama’s workforce and the communities that support advanced manufacturing.

“When a company with this track record chooses to deepen its roots in Alabama, it sends a clear message: our workforce is world-class, and our communities are ready for growth. We look forward to watching Associated MetalCast and the people of Oxford build something exceptional together.”
